Day 3: Oranges! I wasn’t able to eat any oranges yesterday cuz I was so nauseated…so I saved them :) They’re so cute & small, I thought they were tangerines, but they’re not! They’re so sweet _ My favorite fruuuit…managed to save 4! :D Orange Heaven!
I get discharged @ 1:35pm…I don’t like that word…it’s so negative sounding…can’t they just say, “Ok Kimly, ur ok to leave @ 1:35.” But I guess they probably fear the thought of me staying to leech off their entire stash of oranges, hence the use of that forceful word :( “DISCHARGE”…

Cute blue hospital socks! The print actually belongs on the bottom as grippies, but they slide to the top because I do the twist to get around on one foot XD

I shrunk!
Yesterday was kinda life changing…and by “kinda,” I mean “totally” XD.
1) Got approved for a bunionectomy left foot :D! I’m scheduled for this Friday (which is pretty sudden), and am gonna be held for 3 days at the hospital w/ no physical outside contact :( Good news is, free wi-fi :D! Bad news is, I’m gonna miss my friend’s bday karaoke party, worship this Sunday, family+friends ;_;!, and work…which is debatably bad news XD
2) In the process of screening for my surgery, I found out I am actually 5’1” :O!!!…I thought I was 5’2 3/4” for most of my life o_O
…..this explains a lot…lol…My world kinda went black for a second.
3) Lunch afterwards, something strange happened. While eating, I saw a pigeon walk by the table…
-we were indoors.
I wish I whipped out my phone fast enough to take a picture >_<! By the time I did, the pigeon was already well on its way across the room. I was too dumbfounded to move lol

Hot & Spicy
Last night’s eating adventure led me to have hot pot @ a restaurant out in Diamond Bar.
Flavor: Hot & Spicy
Result: The 1st 10min of our drive home was me sticking my head out the window w/ my tongue hanging out, desperately trying to catch whatever cool air I could to relieve the fire in my mouth. The heat from my breathing only fueled the intensity of the burning. My ears were ringing, not from the pressure of the rushing wind, but from the internal flames which seemed to have engulfed my head from the inside out. Every burst of laughter churned my stomach-acid, which turned into molten lava, which splashed against the inner lining of my stomach walls, which made me laugh even harder at the ridiculousness of my pain. New music was playing in my head. Sounded a lot like Screamo.
Solution: Yogurtland. omg.
We ate it in the car while listening to Allie Moss’s EP “Passerby.” Analyzing her lyrics have become our favorite pastime over the past few weeks. I wrote a song inspired by her. Hope she’ll hear it one day.

New Year’s Day 2011:
This year, my aunt in San Diego made a resolution: From now on, Thanksgiving day, they come up to OC…New Year’s day, we head down there…family only. Sounds good to me…We don’t get together enough. I’ve only met my cousin’s daughters twice thus far. Turns out, my nieces actually like me. :O! lol I don’t think they know my name yet tho…I’m known as, “Mommy’s friend.”

As I was going to the bathroom…I heard my parents and the rest of my immediate family saying bye to everyone. Nothing sends fear faster down your spine than being forgotten and left behind while being in the restroom XD. Just sayin’.
After my brother dropped Iris, Hitomi, & I off at home, we started playing this incredibly amazing game called “Set.” 30min into the game, we found ourselves screaming helplessly at the cards in tears. Streams of black eye makeup flowed down Hitomi’s cheeks. Iris & I were both wearing waterproof ;)…actually…Hitomi was too…hmm…o_O??
Play Set. That’s the online version to give you an idea. The card version is more difficult, you actually take away cards. Highly recommended! I think at the very least, you’ll be screaming on the inside. :)

Dead Weight
I find that motivation comes in many forms. Some are more motivated with negativity, some with positivity, and some can simply just pull motivation out of thin air.
For me, although positivity encourages me to want to do more, negativity forces me to do more. Is this good or bad? I think it just is. Whatever makes me become more productive is what’s ultimately important. Every night, I need to be able to recap and think, “What have I done towards my aspirations in music today?” and actually have an answer longer than a few, long, discouraging sighs.
Today, I learned that seeing dead weight people is another motivation for me. “I don’t want to be like that.” :) Sad, but we can’t run from the truth, and I’m certainly not going to sugarcoat it. But then I think to myself, “What motivates them? Why aren’t they yearning to do more with themselves?” Isn’t life bigger than ourselves? Shouldn’t we care for more than what’s in front of us? Yes =/, and? And that’s where it all ends. Sleep, eat, work, play, and sleep again. If that’s all I have to say at the end of my life in recap, I’d say, “I’m sorry, God…I’ve failed You.”
I think I’ll write a song now…=/ See? Motivation! :D
